Special Projects
Ever since we started in 1996, Pyramid have provided a service for Special Projects, those requests that fall outside the scope of our normal work, but none the less is interesting, challenging and different.
There are many examples of such projects in our Case Study section, but as an overview here are some of the kind of things we get asked to help with;
LED LightingSince 1998, Pyramid have been designing and installing LED lighting systems. For those that know the technology those were early days of high brightness LED's for lighting use, and we pioneered a number of projects right here in Plymouth.
Plymouth Pannier Market - as part of a wider scheme to light the 1920's Market Building, Pyramid designed and installed the first colour changing LED installation of it's type in Europe.
Plymouth Tinside Pool - again as part of our works to design a lighting spectacle for the Jewel in Plymouth's crown, the outdoor Lido on Plymouth Hoe foreshore, we deisgned Europe's first fully watertight underwater colourchanging LED System.
Residential LightingLighting is a passion, and we have completed a number of residentail lighting schemes that go beyond the normal approach. Fully integrated and architect designed houses can benefit from beatiful schemes beyond a bunch of downlighters, and we very much enjoy these projects

LED Colorweb ScreenPlymouth University Conatcted us to create a ' green video ' screen, which we designed and installed into the window of the Portland Building. This building has won awards for it's eco credentials, and the screen, commissioned by iDAT is no slouch when it comes to extoling it's green virtues. The content of the screen is dervied from the buildings unique management system which generates information about it's power and water consumption, which is in turn digitised into a video image on the screen !

There are many more examples of the kind of spcial projects we can support, and in short the best thig to do is give us a call and see if we can indeed help. No harm in asking - you may be surprised !
