Having worked for the National Trust at Lanhydrock House for the past 10 years to produce their annual Music Festival, Pyramid were once again asked to provide all Production Management and Technical Support for the 2008 event.

This event has been a regular in the National Trust's calendar of events since 1989 and is set within the 380 hectare estate on the land infront of the House itself. Working with the Trust it has developed over the years from a Jazz in the Park concert for 500 people through to the Lanhydrock Music Festival it is today that attracts a crowd of 10,000 people.

Pyramid provide a 12m Orbit Stage; Full Sound System - including delay towers to reach the top end of the field; Lighting Systems for both on stage & backstage areas; Power Generation & Distribution; Show & Backstage Security; Management of Artists; Liasion with Fireworks Company.

Due to the inclement weather conditions in the weeks prior to this years event the usual location towards the bottom of the estate proved to be unsuitable and therefore with just days to go before the festival the whole location had to be moved up the field. This in turn created additional logistical challenges all of which were met to provide a smooth running show.

This years acts ranged from local acts Bodmin College Jazz Band and Rosie & the Goldbugs through to Joey the Lips, right up to well known acts such as The Hollies and headliners The Dandy Warhols. The evening ended with a spectacluar firework display to music fired by Celebration Pyrotechnics based in Bodmin.

The sun actually shone throughout the day and the concert was enjoyed by the many thousands in attendance. Pyramid very much look forward to working with the Trust again on next years event.
