It is the display of dynamic information on screens or kiosks using computer networks.
Where can they be used?

- Retail environments for advertising.
- Commercial premises for information and staff awareness.
- Industrial locations such as factories providing up to date H&S and welfare notices.
- Public spaces such as museums for visitor information and direction.
- Receptions in hotels and offices to welcome guests and provide information on room uses.
- Schools and Colleges.
How do they work?
Digital signage systems can be simple stand alone screens such as the Samsung Maginet system that have mini PC's built into LCD screens and plasmas. These can display simple graphics and text, such as Powerpoint files, as well as web pages and videos, and can be scheduled to play different files at any time of the day, week, year!
Once set up, the system cannot be tampered with, and owners can managthe screens from remote locations over a virtual network. It really can be very simple and effective.
